Every country has local taxation laws with reference to receiving and providing gifts. Gift Pledger as an app is just a platform that notifies the hosts on the pledges of guests for the gifts they want to recieve. Gift Pledger is not involved in online transferring of funds or making and receiving payments. The host and the guests are responsible to understand local taxation laws and Gift Pledger holds no responsibility or liability in this regard.

If the expected amount is met by guest contributions, it opens up a cash gift option which has no limit set. For example, as a host if I wanted a bicycle of £300 as a gift and I sent the invite to 10 guests. If I receive pledges of £300 with say 7 guests already, then the other 3 guests can still contribute by cash. This option opens up in the event once the expected amounts have been met for all the gifts.

Yes it does. Lets say as a host you have requested a gift with the amount of £300. Once a guest pledges say £30 for it, the other guests would see a balance of £270 remaining for their pledges and so on.

Everytime a guest pledges gifts, the host receives a notification. The host can download a pledger report that contains all the information the host may need. Who pledged which gift and what is their contribution towards the gifts. It also shows RSVP information too.

As a guest, you can login to the Gift Pledger app. The home screen is quite self explanatory. You go to attend events and view the event you have been invited to. Once you view the event, you can provide the RSVP information(editable until RSVP date) and also provide your pledges to the gifts the host has requested for. Additionally you can also provide information on when would you gift the host. Will it be before the event, during the event or should you need to discuss this with the host. Onc

There are 3 gifting options. Cash - This is when the host wants to receive cash for a gift. Bank Transfer - This is when the host wants the guest to transfer money into their bank account. The bank details saved in the host's profile will be shown to the guest if this option is chosen. Voucher - Here the host can mention the name of the company whose voucher they'd like to accept. For example - Amazon or M&S or Next etc.

One we create an event, the app gives us an option to choose upto 3 gifts. The host can enter the details of the gift they wish to receieve. Each gift comprises of a gift picture that can be uploaded, the gift name, the price of the gift and the gifting options. There are 3 gifting options. Cash, Bank Transfer and Vouchers.

The bank details in the user profile is entered so that these details are visible to the guests who want to bank transfer their contribution. We do not currently offer online payment via the app. This is just the information any guest may need to initiate a bank transfer on their own. One would generally expect bank account name. account number, IFSC/Sort Codes. bank name etc. Its just the basic information once needs to send money into the bank account.

Registration is very simple. All it needs is Name, email id and a password. There would be a verificaiton email sent to the registered email id after which the user can attend and host events. Once the email is verified, we advise the users to login and complete the profile by entering additional information like bank details.

When a host invites a guest, the guest needs to register themselves on the app first. They can then view the event, submit RSVP information and choose what gifts they want to contribute for, how much they want to contribute and send this information to the host. They can edit RSVP information until the RSVP date.

Gift Pledger is an app that addresses the issue of gifting. It's born out of necessity. These days gifting has proved to be a rather painful task especially if we were to choose age related gifts. Gift Pledger is a solution that solves this problem.

As a host, we can create an event, add details of the event, RSVP date, add the gift options we wish to have and share the event with our friends and family. The host can also download reports that give them all the information that includes RSVP and what guests have pledged.
